The method of reducing multi-layer board to double-layer board in PCB design

In some Prototype PCB design, the layer of powerpcb files can’t be reduced under normal circumstances. Now I’ll share with you a method of reducing multi-layer board to double-layer board in PCB design:

Firstly, under the setting of Setup, the layer of GND and VCC Electrical Layer Type can be defined as No Plane and quit after pressing ok.

Secondly, all the blind burying holes on the Pad Stacks should be deleted under the setting of Setup, and quit after pressing ok.

Thirdly, under the setting of Setup, both the top layer and the base one on the Display Colors should be closed, leaving only the two middle layers.

Fourthly, enter ECO mode.

Fifthly, press the right button of the mouse to enter Select Traces/Pins;

Sixthly, press the right button of the mouse to enter Select All;

Seventhly, under the setting of Setup, all the drilling paris holes should be deleted by pressing Drill pairs.

Eighthly, select Export and save it under the menu of File, and click SELECTALL in the ASCIIOUTPUT dialogue box and do not click PCB parameters;

Finally, new files should be created under powerpcb of PCB design to import the files saved just now.

To complement, only when the third and fourth layer inside the Reassign Electrical Layers in the SETUP indicates No, they can be changed into two-layer board. If it shows YES, it means there are still networks which haven’t been deleted.
